The President of the ACTU has written to the Australian Foreign Minister and Ambassador to Morocco condemning the treatment of Saharawi human rights defender Sultana Khaya. 

Khaya traveled to Australia in 2015 to speak at a conference co-sponsored by Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA and supported by the ACTU. She being targeted by Moroccan authorities for her leading role in advocating for self-determination for Western Sahara.
